WHAT IS A CHASEN?

The chasen is a bamboo matcha whisk that is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremony.

WHY USE A CHASEN?

The curved ends of the chasen help you create that classic layer of matcha foam which makes for a sweeter, smoother, and far less bitter tasting experience!

HOW TO USE

1. Soak chasen in hot water for 30 seconds to soften bristles
2. Whisk matcha with hot water by rapidly moving chasen in an M or W shape until a light, even froth appears

CARE TIPS

• Always soak before using
• Do not press down too forcefully when you whisk
• Clean by gently whisking in a bowl of fresh warm water or by 

  running under a gentle stream of hot water

• Do not store in plastic packaging cylinder
